Chief Technology Officer

Biography

Eric Tishler is Chief Technology Officer at FR Global Macro (FRGM), where he leads the firm’s technology strategy and the development and operation of the systems supporting research, trading, risk management, and firmwide operations. He joined as a quantitative developer to build production technology for the trading operation, delivering the foundational components of the platform — risk calculations, market-data and trading integrations, trader-facing analytics, monitoring tools, and data pipelines — before the role expanded into ownership of the firm’s broader technology function. He has since built that platform out from the ground up, adding quantitative risk and analytics systems, real-time monitoring, decision-support tools, internal software libraries, and production infrastructure, and he owns the full technology lifecycle from architecture and implementation through deployment, performance, monitoring, resilience, and operational continuity. He partners closely with traders to identify and structure investment and operational requirements and translate them into technical roadmaps and reliable production systems, and manages the vendors, external integrations, hardware, and development environments the desk depends on daily. Eric also established FRGM’s AI-assisted development environment and engineering practices, enabling the team to use AI systematically while keeping human review, judgment, and accountability at the center of the process. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University.
